Winner: “Sunset Cove” By Max Foster
“’Sunset Cove’ was taken at the famous McWay Falls on the Big Sur coast of California,” says Foster. “The 80-foot-tall waterfall flows onto the sandy beach below and is surrounded by rocky cliffs and lush foliage, making this one of the most picturesque locations on the California coast. I arrived in springtime and was fortunate to find wildflowers in full bloom. Just before sunset, the light broke through and bathed the entire landscape in rich golden light. It was a rare night on the coast when all the elements aligned perfectly!”
