“I gingerly moved out to these reflecting pools on the semi-frozen mud of Vermillion Lakes outside of Banff to capture this pre-dawn sunrise,” explains Lichtman. “I brought some cardboard with me to create a platform from which to shoot, as my weight and contact with the icy mud was enough to melt my landing.”
