The freedom of the road, getting away from crowds and finding the beauty of nature appeal to many people. However, getting away requires, well, being away. Being self-sufficient and not leaving all the comforts of home seems like a great proposition. The RV/camping world calls this type of camping boondocking, meaning you are not hooked up to shore power, water or electricity. Boondocking for many people feels scary, taxing and arduous. Most aren’t sure where to even begin. In this video we explain the basics of boondocking, what you will need to have and a few things we keep on hand for either emergencies or fun. In this video our goal is to help you feel comfortable getting started and enjoying what nature has to offer. We live full time in our 5th wheel and our primary camping spots are without hookups. We love it! It’s a little bit of work and requires preparation, however, once you get the hang of it you may never got back to a campground again!
