Rehydrating Backcountry Meals

CAMPING FOOD
I demonstrate how I rehydrate backcountry meals.

Here are the ingredients needed…

‘Beef and Rice’

1 cup brown rice
1 chopped onion
3 chopped cloves of garlic
1 Tbsp canola oil
1 pack of frozen spinach (thawed)
1 179 ml (28oz) can of chopped tomatoes
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper

‘Beef Stroganoff’

2 Tbsp. olive oil
2 cups diced onions
4 cups sliced mushrooms
2 lbs of lean ground beef
3 Tbsp. Worcestershire Sauce
3 cups low sodium beef broth
4 Tbsp. flour
1 cup low fat cream of mushroom soup
2 cups frozen peas
1 package 340g of spiral noodles

‘Spanish Chicken’

1 (10 3/4 ounce) can cream of chicken soup
1 cup salsa
1 cup whole kernel corn
3/4 cup uncooked long-grain white rice
4 boneless chicken breast halves
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup canned black beans, washed (optional)
