Epic Bottom Fishing with NFL Super Bowl Champion Trey Burton

In this episode of BlacktipH, I go bottom fishing with Super Bowl Champion and NFL Tight End Trey Burton off the coast of Sarasota to catch some monster deep water fish! Trey and I started the day vertical jigging on an offshore ledge. Within a few minutes, both of us were hooked up to huge fish! I managed to catch my fish, a medium-sized amberjack, but Trey’s fish went under the boat and broke him off. We caught a variety of species at our first spot, including: almaco jacks, amberjacks, red snapper, tang fish, and a black grouper. The sharks started to catch on and were eating nearly every fish that we hooked. I decided to drop a shark rig with an almaco jack for bait to try and catch one of these sharks that were eating our fish. While I was shark fishing, our chef Spenser cooked us some chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast, and they were delicious, a dream come true! As we were eating our pancakes, John hooked and landed a black grouper on spinning tackle! Shortly after, Trey caught up a species of fish that none of us had ever seen before! It was bright red with yellow fins (later we found out it was an Atlantic Creole fish). We finally dropped a large bait for a warsaw or gag grouper. Within five minutes, I was hooked up to the first big grouper of the day. It was the biggest gag grouper of my life, over thirty pounds!! Jayson dropped two more baits down for groupers, and both baits got eaten! As dinner time approached, our chef Spenser cooked some aged steaks while we were catching fish. I ended the day with a 10lb blackfin tuna.
